History and Background

Ontario Community Church was founded in 1985 by a small group of faithful believers who felt called to establish a new church family in the heart of Ontario. Led by Pastor John and Mary Smith, they began meeting in a local school gymnasium, united by a shared vision of creating a welcoming place of worship, fellowship, and service. As the congregation grew, they purchased land and constructed their first permanent church building in 1990. Over the years, Ontario Community Church has continued to expand its facilities and ministries to meet the evolving needs of the community. Key milestones include launching a thriving children’s ministry in 1995, opening a food pantry and community outreach center in 2000, and completing a major sanctuary renovation in 2010. Throughout its history, the church has remained committed to its core values of loving God, loving people, and serving the world. Generations of families have found a spiritual home at Ontario Community Church, drawn by its vibrant worship services, supportive small groups, and active role in the local community. Today, under the leadership of Pastor David Johnson, Ontario Community Church continues to be a beacon of hope and faith, welcoming all who seek to grow in their relationship with Christ and each other.

Mission and Values

At Ontario Community Church, our mission is to love God, love people, and make disciples. We believe in the power of faith to transform lives and communities. Our core values include: • Biblical Truth: We look to Scripture as our ultimate guide and authority, seeking to understand and apply its timeless wisdom to our daily lives. • Authentic Worship: We gather to praise God with passion and sincerity, expressing our love and gratitude through music, prayer, and heartfelt devotion. • Loving Community: We strive to be a warm, welcoming family where everyone belongs, supporting each other through life’s joys and challenges. Just as Ontario’s culture is beautifully diverse, so is our church. • Selfless Service: We’re called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, compassionately meeting needs both within our church and in the wider community. • Lifelong Growth: We encourage every member to continually deepen their faith, character, and gifts through opportunities like small groups, classes, and mentoring. Guided by these principles, our purpose is to shine Christ’s light and love in such an irresistible way that our neighbors are drawn to experience the joy and purpose only He can give. Whether you’re searching for meaning or simply looking for a place to belong, we invite you to join us on this exciting journey of faith!
